When the moon exploded after a warship crashed into it, a large fragment drifted into a decaying orbit and causes tensions to rise between political powers. Not only will the impact cause physical damage to the planet, it will contaminate the atmosphere as well, making the planet inhospitable to life. As fears mount, the nations make threats against each other and prevent any kind of escape attempts or plans to avoid the catastrophe.
